ABU DHABI – Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national carrier, has introduced Etihad Wellbeing, a new programme bringing together a range of products and service enhancements designed to make travel more comfortable and help passengers arrive feeling rested and refreshed.

The programme brings wellness-focused experiences across the journey, from the airline’s lounges at Zayed International Airport to its premium cabins and inflight entertainment. It includes quieter cabin environments, healthier dining choices, upgraded bedding, premium amenities and dedicated wellness content.

Etihad Wellbeing is designed to help guests maintain healthy lifestyle habits while travelling, with a growing collection of products and experiences focused on rest, comfort and recovery. The offering covers different stages of the passenger journey, including dedicated quiet spaces and pre-departure spa treatments, as well as natural bedding, nutritious meals and hydrating vitamin and electrolyte beverages onboard.

Healthier dining

Etihad has expanded its dining choices with nutritious, protein-rich dishes and more plant-forward options, alongside a broad selection of specialist meals. These include lactose-free, low-sodium, low-fat, low-salt and gluten-free options for passengers following specific dietary requirements for health, wellbeing or religious reasons.

Hydrating drinks enriched with vitamins and electrolytes are also available, adding to the range of onboard choices aimed at supporting passengers during their journey.

Sleep has also received attention across Etihad’s premium cabins. Guests travelling in First and The Residence can enjoy natural cotton bedding, memory foam mattresses and premium sleepwear designed to provide a more comfortable environment for rest onboard. The airline has also introduced new loungewear and comfort-focused soft furnishings in its premium cabins.

In Business, Etihad has introduced its new Destination Collection amenity kits featuring skincare products from Korean beauty brand LANEIGE. The kits include the brand’s Water Sleeping Mask, Lip Sleeping Mask and hand cream. Etihad is the first airline to partner with LANEIGE and is currently the only airline offering its products onboard.

First Class guests receive luxury skincare amenities from ESPA, together with facial sheet masks and under-eye masks intended to help refresh the skin during flights.

Quieter journeys

A key element of the programme is Etihad’s Quiet Cabin initiative, which reduces non-essential announcements to create a calmer onboard environment. The airline is also offering meditation, stretching and sleep content through its inflight entertainment system.

Many Etihad aircraft feature lighting designed to support rest and help reduce the effects of jet lag on long-haul journeys, adding another element to the airline’s focus on onboard recovery.

The wellbeing experience begins before passengers board. At Zayed International Airport, the Etihad Lounges offer dedicated quiet areas, while the Be Relax by Etihad Spa provides skincare, massage and hair services ahead of departure.

Etihad is also introducing a new signature scent across its aircraft and lounges. Created exclusively for the airline, the fragrance is intended to establish a welcoming and calm atmosphere and provide a familiar sensory experience for guests.

The airline said Etihad Wellbeing will continue to evolve through further enhancements as it develops additional products and services across its cabins and airport experience.

The programme currently brings together quieter lounge and cabin spaces, wellness and mindfulness content, healthier dining, specialist meals, hydrating beverages, upgraded sleep amenities, premium skincare and spa services. Etihad said further improvements will continue to be added as part of the programme.
